A Few Tips for New Learners #2 (original amirite?)
Hi guyyyysssss! <3
Here are some tips for new Korean learners:
Flashcards. Using flashcards with common phrases really helped me. They are easy to use and make and are actually pretty fun! (TinyCards is great as well but I preferred physical cards)
Labelling. I love this tip. You get sticky notes and put them on something like a door [문] and whenever you open the door you say the pronunciation! Also it looks cute if you use different colours etc.
Korean Broadcasts. Listening to real Korean people speak makes it easier to pick up the correct accent.
Korean Kid's TV. Great for basic phrases. [And fun XD]
That's it! Because I am LAZY. Annnyyywayyy [lol] Upvote [just because] and comment :]]]]]]]]
Lately I've been labeling items in my my house with sticky notes of their Korean name.
I also been using this app called Lingodeer. It helps A LOT! It has flashcards, voice record of topics, and story time.
I have a notebook of everything I learned so far from Duolingo. So I never forget what I been taught.
Having a notebook is a smart idea- I think I'll make my own! Thanks for the idea
Oh I'm on LingoDeer too! [and a notebook] It's great to talk to you again, Rose! Mia xxxx
These things really helped me to learn, now I feel confident in speaking(Basic).
I miss you Mia!, great talking to you too again <3 :D
Using games for learning is good, like the game called "Memory", that game where you have cards or pictures to memorize and then you keep searching for the couples of those cards/pictures. We can do the same with languages, especially with languages like Korean or Japanes, which have different alphabets.
Well, I did it with Japanese, I created several cards with the Hiragana and their Romaji and then you can play Memory. It's simple and funny, I guess.
Even in my German Course, we often do games, but I think the same games can be used for every languages.
For example, we play Domino to learn the Articles (because German's articles are a mess). Instead of the normal pieces of the Domino, we have little pieces of papers (like the Domino) with words and articles and we have to put the articles next to the corrects nouns.
It's a little difficult to explain, but with these methods is easier learning new words and stuff.
Really, sorry if my explication is bad <.<
thank you so much for the tips!! will be sure to try them out! and btw, love your username and picture ;)
You seem so sympathetic. When did you start learning Koran and how is it going ? Besides Jin is soooo cute and his vocals are shvsjhbsi. Btw my name is Marie
Yes I use all of this in my studies and write it down too, it helps a lot! >-<
on point 4m i watch Miniforce/미니 특공대 on netflix with the boys. pretty good, since it's has korean subtitles and the original audio - i find it really helps since the language level is for kids (also i'm a bit dim)
as i study more, i'm tempted to not use things like flashcards or at least only use them at the start of some new material. i tend to cling on to them and find they slow me down, becoming a distraction from learning new things (which I think should be the main goal)
Yeah, some of the tips aren't for everyone! Each to their own! Thanks for commenting. Mia xxxx
여보세요 잘 지냈어요? 방탄 소년 팬을 만나는 것이 너무 좋다. i also speak english its my home language
I've studied so hard, but I feel like I forget everything so fast. Thtat's made me so upset.
I know how frustrated you are, I can relate! Just keep on working hard and eventually it will pay off
any pointers on identifying the negative forms of things ? I keep thinking I've got it then find out I don't ! Things like :"am not, are not, is not" that sort of thing. Also Struggling with the multiple ways to say "is" & completely overwhelmed with the various "ibnida" variations !!!
I don't know WHY Korean is so difficult when learning it form Duolingo. I think it's psychological to be honest. Welp, I'll try your tips and see if it works, THANKS!~
how long have you been learning Korean? this is my first time and i barely started, i want to learn how to speak Korean. Which channel would these things be?
Thank you so much!!!!!!!! I'm having the worst time trying to remember what i learned, this helps so much! Thank you!
You're soo so so welcome!!!! XD
I am happy I helped
thanks for commenting, army!
Also saying "ARMY" is cringe and you should stop. Also like the real army, I hope all you koreaboos have to go off to war.
If you're just going to come here to hate on everyone and point out mistakes that aren't even there, I suggest you leave. And please go far, far away when you do. Thanks
Thanks lonely134340! NANI-2? Why are you commenting if you don't have any tips (wishing koreaboos of to war doesn't count as a tip) or sharing your experience? ARMY is our fan name. We did not make it up. Wishing someone off to war is a horrible thing to say.
You what's more cringy? Saying things like "cringe" in 2018... (:D) ayyyyyyyy
Sorry if I sounded harsh ~Mia
(ilovejin ) I love your'e positivity! It's pretty rare sadly, but beautiful and awesome! Thank you for defending ARMY! (Lonely134340, and ilovejin) BTS fighting!
