Does the presence of "itu" imply that there is some other yellow snow that one could eat?

It's a literal translation of a Zappa song, which also includes "that", and is meant to be somewhat vernicular. In the English version I think the implication is that the child has been told about yellow snow before. So it's "that yellow snow we talked about before, remember?"

How come they have a word for snow?! Can snow be found in Indonesia? On top off mountains/volcanoes?

How would they talk about it if they had no word for it? Anyway, Indonesian is not some quaint artifact isolated in a jungle somewhere and just now discovered by an anthropologist. It's the main language of the 4th most populous nation on earth.

Yeah, in some of the highland mountains in Papua it snows sometimes.

This sentence is weird. Who the heck would eat yellow snow?

It's a joke (because of why the snow is yellow). Thank you, DuoLingo for making me laugh today.
