Incorrect English. This should be "Mother is bathing the kids" or better still "Mother is bathing the children" - given that Mtoto is "child".


It is just possible that she is bathing non-specific children, but yes, it seems a bit of a stretch, especially with the present continuous and the fact that she is referred to as "mother".


I had convinced myself The Mother was causing the children to fear since waoga = fearful . Is the "wa" in "anawaogesha" redundant? "Watoto" already indicates that it is the children who are being bathed...
