"Kami mau bayar untuk makanan ini" is absolutely correct! It is standard Indonesian and heard about 100 million times a day across the country. Dropping "untuk" is also correct but informal. Since this course seems to favour formal over informal usage, it's bizarre that including "untuk" here is deemed incorrect.

Untuk is for but when i put that into the sentence it said that was wrong
