Is it grammatically correct to say "Kami mau bayar untuk makanan ini"?
Think of bayar as both pay and pay for.
I tried rhe same answer... But i am not sure...
edit some month later:
"untuk" is not correct here
Why is bayar but not membayar accepted here?
it should accepted! Please report it
Why comes "ini" at the end of the sentence?
It sounds like:
We want to pay for food this.
hmm this is the word order in indonesian language: as far as i know:
name + adjectives (color, size,...) + itu/ini
This correct solution is rejected. There are too many mistakes in this app
"kami mau membayar untuk makanan ini"
Bayar would be used in spoken form often, whereas membayar is more formally correct grammatically
the "untuk" work is not correct here.
"untuk" is use i.e. when you give something to someone... "apel ini untuk mu"
Why not "kami mau makanan ini bayar.?
