Can someone explain to me why these directions have completely different names? I'm super curious. Especially that southeast has its own word.
Used to be a folk of sailors, tenggara is "a strong, dry, hazy, east or southeast wind during the east monsoon...", SEA also called Asia Tenggara. Interesting:)
Comes to show the amazing Indonesian sailing tradition
Ive tried googling, but no luck!
Does southeast (tenggara) have a special meaning in Indonesian culture?
Kampret kenapa bisa salah?
