I just completed a golden tree in Esperanto, for Duo to hang out in!

Here are statistics on how long it took me, for those interested.

I started October 31, 2017, so it took me 353 days. When I started, it was before Levels.

10/31/17 - 11/16/17 Completed the tree. (57 hrs)

11/17/17 - 4/8/18 Kept "holes" filled. (62 hrs)

(4/9/18) "Levels" instituted.

4/9/18 - 4/28/18 Brought entire “old” tree up to Level 2 (26 hrs)

4/29/18 - 5/16/18 Brought entire “old” tree up to Level 3 (19 hrs)

(5/17/18) 18 new skills added to the Esperanto tree

5/18/18 - 6/11/18 Brought all the new skills up to Level 2 (45 hrs)

6/12/18 - 10/18/18 Brought rest of tree up to Level 3 (99 hrs)

Brought tree up to Level 4 (33 hrs) Brought tree up to Level 5 (43 hrs)

So the Total time spent was 384 hrs

Reaching Levels 4 and 5 was streamlined by testing out; of the 43896 XP I earned in Esperanto, I got 25670 XP from "Testing out".

Finally , thanks to the Duolingo staff for making this all possible, and to the fellow Esperantists on the discussion board - especially Salivanti! - for your helpful comments. Gratulon!

Nice work! I'm impressed with your meticulousness. I just sort of... attack it.

I need to get around to re-gilding, one of these days. I'd almost forgotten the decay feature of the pre-crown days. I was in some kind of sick experimental test group where I had to earn 800-2,000 XP a day just to maintain my French and Esperanto trees.

Thanks, and congrats for hitting level 25 in 4 languages (and 10 or over in 23 more!) My somewhat obsessive time-keeping is so I can actually compare how much time E-o actually takes relative to other languages. As for my Eo journey, I found the 400 hrs invested time well-spent.

And how good are your skills after this 400 hours investment on Duolingo's Esperanto tree.

How comfortable are you at speaking in Esperanto, listening skills etc. ?

Are you active in Esperantujo - participating in local, state & national level clubs ?

Have you participated in international Esperanto events?

I completed the tree twice (i.e upto crown level 2) in less than 24 odd hours through testing out. I am half way through in level 3 and in parallel doing a bit of crown level 4 and 5. Few of my skills are golden now.

To be honest, it is getting harder.

I am doing all these in my another account. I am participating on a 50 member club on my Duolingo smartphone app. I topped the group in weekly leader-board twice

I already posted it as a answer post in JPRasmussen's thread -
