The Duolingo administration decided not to provide audio for the Klingon course. The Contributors and Moderators would love to add it, but at this time, we do not expect it to be added. There is a Skill a little bit into the course which teaches the names of the Klingon letters and has a description of the pronunciations in the Tips & Notes, however, that skill also lacks audio.

If you want to check out some ideas for learning the pronunciation, check out the thread at: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/26605745

If you want to read about the other known issues in this course, read the post at: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/26778885

And finally, the only way I know of to complain to the administration about the lack of audio on this course is to file a bug report: https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/articles/204728264-How-do-I-report-a-bug-

Do you have that in a note somewhere that you can copy-paste from? :)

At any rate, I'm glad about your prompt responses to people who bewail the lack of audio.

I do. I have canned replies that I copy for both the "no audio" complaints and the "question that is answered in the Tips & Notes" questions.

Please everyone file bug reports. Look at Klingon's position on the course page, it is not unpopular and I almost consider this discrimination as the only reason I can see is they don't consider constructed languages valid.

I think to a certain extent, it was probably not important to the administration whether the Klingon course was popular, as long as it resulted in some publicity. But to another extent they want all of their courses to be high quality and represent their product well. The administration has assured us that they now have programmers actually working on a way for us to add audio to the course (as well as their other courses that lack audio). We do not have an exact date on that being available, so I guess it could be ready any time from 1 month to five years. But it's nice to hear they are at least working on it finally.
