This is an error. In Indoensia, "setan" is one of many, so it should take "a" demon not "the" (buktinya kita bisa mengatakan 'setan-setan'). Unlike English, in which "Satan" is considered to be one figure

Not true. That could be translated as Satan as well, especially by Indonesian Christians. Muslims may spell it Syaitan, but setan would be understood as well. However, "the demon" is not correct in English. With "the" it would need to be "devil".

Why would you? Typically after Iblis was cast out, he is referred to as Shaytan, even in Arabic...

I think the word 'setan' should be read with an 'e' as in 'melon' & 'sendok', not the one as in 'sepatu' or 'selimut'. Please CMIIW, thank you.
