The Mystery of the Undead Streak-Freeze
I certainly missed a day on Saturday:
Streak freeze is still equipped. I haven't bought another one.
According to my user file (and duome), my last streak freeze was used on 2017-03-23 (at 18:12:14.984000, to be unnecessarily precise)—that's after waiting almost two days in case the status should be lagging.
I thought this same thing had happened the previous occasion I missed a day, but I wasn't paying enough attention to be sure. This time there can be no doubt that my streak freeze appears to be deathless and incorruptible.
I cannot recall entering into a Faustian pact never to lose my streak freeze, although if any itinerant necromancers happen to read this and could check for me, please feel free.
You didn't miss the day. The chart is calculated according to the new winter time. So the points you did in the early Saturday morning are shifted to Friday now. I once did 512 points each day and after time change there were values between 270 and 720, because I'm always working around midnight. But you can lose the day if you do only points during the hour which is missing afterwards (i.e first hour of the day of winter time change). I've also tested spring time change. If you do points in the last hour of the day before time change, they will also count for the following day.
You might well be right. If so, I had not expected the software to be that crude in its response to seasonal time changes (i.e. shift everything back and make the whole past half-year of records inaccurate).
No, you practiced on Saturday 00:34. All the times are indicated according to the time now active. Everything before time change is set back one hour. From my scattered weekly 512 points chart I can say that, at least for the week that was indicated in the chart then.
Apologies, I edited my original response (which is now lost to me) before I saw your reply. I think, in retrospect, you're probably right.
Hi, I had received this by e-mail if you mean this by lost.
Quote Garpike: But the clocks actually went back at 2:00 BST to 1:00 GMT on Sunday 28th, not Saturday 27th. I practised on DL at 23:34 BST on Friday 26th, and next at 11:16 on Sunday 28th. All the end of summer time did was push back the Sunday session from 12:16 to 11:16; it didn't affect the practice session on Friday as the clocks didn't change until more than 24 hours later. The clocks always change on a Sunday.

Are you sure?
Well, I don't think so.
Your extended user profile http://www.duolingo.com/users/garpike only shows when you have bought the "streak freeze" (03-23-2017) and if you are still / or are not equipped with it.
However, unfortunately, Duolingo does not really tell us when a freeze has been actively used.
There are A/B tests for the apps to inform a user of the usage of freeze, but I do not see it logged in our public offical extended profile data.
Hence, Duome.eu can AFAIK not display when/if a freeze has actually jumped in to protect your streak.
http://www.duome.eu/freeze shows the list of users:
- with no streek freeze (orange flame)
- those users who are equipped and when they have bought the freeze
- how long the user has not been using the bought streak freeze
Best regards / Viele Grüße
Your RAW xp data doesn't look too bad (min 10XP goal) when I am on GMT+1 timezone ;)
I can not see a day with 0XP because of my TZ.
Can you take look at the graph and RAW data (coming from the extended user profile) with your own more correct TZ?
The 30 points at 23:28-23:34 on 2018-10-26 are shifted back an hour from Saturday because of time change. It seems you are an Eu resident.
Hey, that's cool... I was once on a 60+ day streak, had a freeze equipped and the contrary happened >.>
Lose a streak gain a lingot. Zero sum, you are still stuck with two useless things.
Welcome to the mysterious world of mobile app sync issues....besides timezones.
