Selamat hari raja, is it the same as selamat idul fitri? It was not mentioned before in the lesson.

From what I found out on Reddit, Eid is the short form of (E)idul fitri, aka as "Hari Raya". I'm from Singapore and I've only heard "Hari Raya" all my life but maybe that's just because I'm Chinese

"Eid" is a shortened form of "Eid al-Fitr", the Muslim holiday which marks the end of fasting in Ramadan.

Why is selamat hari idul fitri i? I thought hari meant "day" and could have been used here.

Indonesia is the largest muslim country in the world, yes and one should respect that. But they have the law of pancasila, freedom of religion. So from my point they should be respected as well. So teaching religious greetings in the beginning is wrong. A balinese Hindhu or christian Batak from Danau Toba won" t be happy to be greeted with a muslim greeting,!!!!
