I believe 'conductor' is the only right translation for 'masinis' since they are the people who operate the trains, not the ones who build it...

When I didn't put "train engineers" it considered wrong. Now that I put "train engineers" it considered wrong again. Three times that I changed my answers and still get wrong.

Machinests are people who could operate steam engines in the old Dutch colony. That's all that there's to know. The word is still in use in Flanders as well
