also, using google you will find good websites, with characters, how to draw them, etc.

(I'm french, so I use french websites, I don't have good addresses in English right now.)

If you want to see each character, how to draw, and definition -- get the Hello Chinese app for the iphone. It's free and under the menu for 'add-on's it lists each character by DuoLingo lesson! It will show you how to draw each and is interactive. Great find.

I commented in another post how to generate your word list in Duolingo. It's not a supported function.

Did some testing, found it works in Edge, but not Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox. Have not tested other browsers.

Also, manually typing while logged in Chinese language home DOES NOT work. For whatever reason both tabs need to be used.

Step by Step for those who are only using Chinese:

1.Sign up for another Language, such as German, and complete the introductory lesson.

2.Go to the Duolingo home page. Confirm that you are still in your new language by looking to the left of your profile pic. There should be a German flag.

3.Open another tab in Edge and go to Confirm that the language selection is still in German.

4.In the new tab change your profile language to Chinese.

5.Return to the first tab (still in German) and click on the "Words" link in the menu bar.

6a. Success: a list of Chinese characters down the left side of the page.

6b. Failure: returns to the Chinese default home page.

Please note, the list is NOT populated with the translated words and does NOT display the Pinyin. Fortunately, the hover-over function will display the English translation for you to reference while completing your guide.

Print the page as a .pdf to save a copy. From there, you can print out the page and manually write/type the translations using the hover over function as an assist.

You can also copy/paste into MS Excel or Word, but there is no easy way to sort your list.
