I used wounded, and it was not accepted. I have now found there is a specific word, QID, for wound, but I think they are almost synonyms. In my head wounds tend to be inflicted by purpose and injuries are accidental. But in context, I thought I could use one or the other.

They might be as synonymous in Klingon as they are in English. But we're told that one is one and the other is the other, so you kind of have to stick to that.

In context you probably have a lot of flexibility to convey very similar information. But Duolingo provides no context, so to teach the different nuances of the different words, we ask you to specifically match them with the English words that have the same sorts of nuances.
