no. with the chinese keyboard I can tip "ni" and then it shows me all characters that sound like "ni". So I tip ni hao and get 你好

Yes, that's my strategy for typesetting Chinese characters. Go to Google Translate and, on the left side (i.e. language to be translated from), choose Chinese and select Pinyin as the input method. Type the Pinyin, and it will giv a list of characters with that pronunciation. Choose the right one.

DON'T use google translator. It is unaccurate and doesn't help you improve your speaking skills at all.

                为什么Google翻译?
                For what Google translate?
Is this the correct translation or what do you say with this sentence?

I'm saying that google translate, or google翻译, is not accurate. For example, up there I said why google translate, but when you used google translate for that sentence, it came out as "for what google translate". If you have a question, just ask. That is my biggest tip, because my Chinese tutor tells me how unbeliveably unaccurate google translator is. Study with what you can, and create conversation with the vocabulary that you have learned and know. New knowledge comes with the conversations. If you dont know how to say a word, simply type it in English, and I am sure that the person will understand somehow. Does this make sense or help at all?
