anybody doing German, do you like it?
I'm learning it because of my heritage and family (we're from Schleswig-Holstein). It's very difficult and I find myself very frustrated at times. Though, if you keep with it like I am, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. It's a fascinating language and enough of a challenge to keep you busy and on top of it.
I've been learning German for 4 years and have traveled to Germany 3 out of the last 4 years. I have completely enjoyed learning the language and being able to communicate with native speakers when visiting their country.
yeah i would love it :D but how? I need any tips to memorize the gender of the nouns because it's so hard :\
Not as much as I used to because it's getting harder for me now having done German for 7 years. But you know what I'm just going to carry on and be resilient because quitters never win!
For sure. The program is slow (but robust) with lots of repetition, which I think is needed when learning a new language.
I think it's quite good. It's a pretty good choice in my opinion for native English speakers because the two languages have some similarities that make it easier to learn.
That is great
why do you not like it?
are you doing all the languages on duolingo? that's a lot of commitment!
Started a week ago but only creeping along - focusing on Polish at the moment
Viel Erfolg!
Interesting language, doing it with such enjoyment, but the structuring and larger words trip me out though.
I love it! always wanted to learn and it's awesome. (love yelling nice things at people who don't speak it) they think i'm angry but in truth, i'm saying i like your shirt.
i kinda wanna try welsh but i don't really have enough time to add on a third language
Ja naturlich! Its really good. I love the sound of German. I also love Marmots.
I am now on Level 16 & I am now finding German very difficult. Would suggest that people study what you don't understand & don't carry it over to next level. I am now realising how much I have missed by not using other sources. People learn differently, I don't appear to learn everything by repetition. Good Luck with it.
I'm learning it bc I have it in me! It's so much fun and once you get going very easy to catch onto!
ya i agree, i'm like 80 something % German so that's kinda why i wanted to start learning it in the first place
My German is absolutely terrible, but it is beyond any doubt my favorite foreign language. I love how it sounds and there is a lot of German-language music that I like. In fact I listen to more German-language music than English-language music. I am also very interested in the history of German-speaking countries.
