ne = the ?

The course introduces "ka," "ke," and "nā" as forms of the definite article. When I came to this translation (simple "the"), I had a typo and entered "ne"; to my surprise, it wasn't rejected or marked as a typo. Is "ne" actually another Hawaiian definite article, or is this some sort of error?

Don't think "ne" is an article. What was the prompt and what was the answer?

The prompt to translate was just "the"

The link in my comment goes to the "sentence" discussion.

That seems to be an error.
