The Japanese name! キラキラネーム [Kirakira name]
Hello everyone! How well do you know about Japanese names? This time I will introduce about the topic "Kirakira name" in Japan!
This is a part. There are many more. Such names are not yet spreading to Japan. It is the name which began to be used recently. What do you think about this? Please tell me the unusual name of your country!
Rachel and Jun made a video on kirakira names a while back that has some more great examples. In America there's a trend of taking really basic names and just spelling them in really bizarre ways for no reason. I've also seen names like Chlamydia and a Margherita which may look and sound nice but are really unfortunate. These poor kids.
There seems to be a name problem in every country.... The child with such the name is very sorry. Parents should consider children's names seriously ....
Japanese name "Anime character" edition
it's amazing how Mario, Excalibur, Elmo, Nico, Elsa and Atom got on the list XD
Hm. Nowadays in Russia Old Slavic names such Elisey or Dobrinya are popular again. But strange Soviet names are more interesting! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_Soviet_origin
I think that the name used in ancient times is still good. Anime characters and the like are popular in Japan.
In my country, children names must be approved by the registry office.
Even in Japan, parents who tried to use the name "悪魔[devil]" as the name of a child became a problem, but it is necessary to confirm the name more accurately. There are many names that even Japanese can not read.
i like just heard of that XD
the mum was mad that everyone was making fun of Abcde's name haha
Is "abcde" a name? I thought that I was not a name....!! I was very surprised.
I guess it's supposed to sound like 『アブシヂ』but it's just the first five letters of the alphabet so it certainly brings some odd reactions
Is this a "Kirakira name"? If it is not "Kirakira name", it is a interesting name.
When I saw Abcde, I was like yup, that child might have a hard time. I'm not judging but certain names will get people's attention. I don't find it a surprise if the name gets negative reactions.
I think it's pronounced [Ab-sidy]
The Maltese are particularly inventive/creative/bonkers when it comes to strange and unusual names. Clearly mad names like...
