Is HV a language that's actually worth learning

HV is such a small language with only like 950 official words in it and it doesn't seem like it can be used very well to hold an actual conversation with someone so I'm just wondering if I should take time to learn it or into a different language

I suppose it depends on the reason that you want to learn it. I'm not aiming to learn HV in order to carry on a conversation with other HV speakers - obviously, there are no "native" HV speakers in the world, so I can probably find another language to converse with people if needed. However, I think it's kind of fun that if I watch old episodes of GOT now that include HV, I can understand some of the words without looking at the subtitles. I personally think it's a very interesting language and very fun to learn, but if you're trying to learn a language from which you'd get a lot of functional use, you might want to try some real world languages instead. ;)

I guess you have some motivation to learn the language, since you seem to consider it. If the time and energy you would spend learning it is equal to your motivation, I don't see why you shouldn't.

I have considered learning/studying it myself, since I'm very interested in conlangs, and am curios about how HV works as such. I haven't watched a single episode of GoT, though.

OMG! You should try watching it! Especially if you are learning HV, because you may not even need to look at the subtitles during the episodes where are dialogues in this language.

I'm just picking up a little to have fun and have a break from my more "serious" languages - definitely not something I plan on using anytime soon ;)

It looks like a fun short language, it’s not functional though. But this doesn’t mean you should not try it.

I think maybe it is more just for the fans of the book and series fun!
