Do Not Say "Duolingo is broken; please help"
When you're having a technical problem and post a question here, please remember the following information really needs to be in your post.
1) Which phone app are you using? The Android app and the IOS app are not the same.
2) If you're using a browser on your phone, say so. The app and mobile browser version are not the same.
3) If you're using a browser to access the web site, you need to say what browser you're using and what the operating system is. Different browsers work differently and have different ways to do things like clear caches, etc. Also, the operating system makes things even more complicated with "interesting" interactions between the browser and the operating system. (For me to use the browser on my Android phone, I had to open the Settings app and make changes there before I could get to Duolingo.com on my phone's browser.)
4) Try to describe in detail what you did, what you expected to happen, and what did happen. This includes what language you're learning, from what language, and (in the case of French) what tree you're on. Other languages may have more than one tree active, although I only hear about French.
In other words, do not say "Duolingo is broken. Please help."
These steps should be condensed and put on Duo's FAQ to save us all some trouble. Thank you!
I would recommend making a different post to receive help.
Uninstalling then reinstalling may work. If not, use the browser on your phone.
It would be nice if everybody were able to understand those things are important information to give out, but I also know many just won't understand it and will need someone up close and personal checking things out to see what is needed to correct an issue. I still need to go and see a friend and see if her not getting to her email on her tablet is 1] can't login to the tablet, tablet dead 2} logged into the tablet and needs to sign into her router to use wifi so she can get to email 3} able to open up her browser and just forget her password to her email bc it logged off on her somehow. I only ask she tries to help herself first before asking for help.
Dit zijn tot nu zeer irritante blijvende problemen. Ik ben er veel mee bezig geweest om het probleem op te lossen, maar het is een steeds weerkerend probleem, dus succes. firstname.lastname@example.org
Well, I used a descriptive subject, described exactly what was happening with tinycards, and what browser I was using. I thought I described what was happening and what I was doing fairly well too.
I got two downvotes and no replies.
I am using the duolingo app on my iPhone SE, and just finally did the app update that changed to the new aesthetics.
Now the app does not allow me to load any lessons!! I click on the lesson and it takes me to an image of Duo the owl just walking and shuffling his feet endlessly. This is true for every language i am currently studying. Please help.
