Level 25 in French, but no fanfare!
Hi Duolingoids, I made it to Level 25 in French today, after 294 days, but there was no fanfare, no celebration, no anything... except, of course, a feeling of accomplishment. (I was on Tree 3 if anybody is interested.) I have been very pleased lately about my vast improvement in listening ability. At the beginning, I needed to use the slow feature for many of the listening exercises, but now I have to use it barely at all. Duolingo works!
I made some noise in my house to celebrate. You probably couldn't hear it, though.
Félicitations à vous, congratulations - doubly so! I am thrilled to say that I have just this minute also achieved Level 25 in French! .

That's what we're here for. Congrats! What's up next? Moving on to other resources? Another language? Both?
Thank you all so much! My next goal is to reach level 25 in German. This will take longer, for sure! Before that happens, though, I am planning on going to Germany next summer, and I would like to be able to speak well enough by then to not embarrass myself.
Good luck! And there's always the German from French tree to consider if you want to practice both at once.
Congrats! I'm still at the stage where I have to use the slow feature.
Just the fact that I can understand your post easily is proof that Duolingo works!! How can we share this magical site with the rest of the world? Canada is supposed to be a bilingual country, but most anglophones here speak English only, despite the fact that we start French in school at nine years old. Sadly, our French language teaching in the modern school system is inefficient at best.
Congratulations! Here's some of my own fanfare to make up for Duolingo's lack of it: fanfare
