Contribute to Tatoeba!
This is a call to any native Navajo speakers out there. For those that haven't heard of it, there is a great website called Tatoeba which consists of large collections of sentences in a great number of human languages. I've found it helpful when studying smaller languages to refer to it and find some example sentences. There is also a language learning site called Clozemaster which uses Tatoeba's sentences to create little sentence-building games (although Navajo is currently not on there).
Contributions will be very helpful, all you have to do is create an account and then you can add sentences. Make sure they are accurate and provide an English translation. I've already added some myself from a book on Navajo grammar, however as it stands there are only about 80 sentences for the Navajo language. Don't bother adding the Duolingo course sentences, they've already been added.
Here is a link to Tatoeba's Navajo project: https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentences/show_all_in/nav/none/none/indifferent
Also, if there are native speakers of any other language out there, I'm sure the project will be happy to have your sentences as well!
Thank you very much!
