"du" and "ihr"
whats the different usages for these? are they interchangeable bc i cant even tell when i should use which one
Du is the informal "you," while "ihr" is the informal plural "you." You can think of ihr being "y'all."
"Du" is informal singular, but "ihr" is plural, like if you're addressing more than one person.
höfliche Anrede: Sie lernen
Du and ihr both mean "You", but with a small difference:
Du = Informal, Singular "You"
Ihr = (Lowercase letter I except for at the start of a sentence) Informal, Plural "You"
Have a nice day!
