I used langsam, which was accepted. What's the difference between that and "geht nach"?

I think "nachgehen" means that the clock is behind on the real time.

Das ist schon ein bisschen pingelig, dass man nicht einfach sagen darf, "die Uhr geht falsch".

I don't think so. 'nachgehen' and 'falsch gehen' are distinct concepts.
