Two Accounts On The Same Phone?
I share my phone with someone, who is busy using hers for work and research. Other people need her password etc. to look through and obtain information that's relevant to them. She uses mine for privacy with some things like email, as she doesn't want to get hacked. Can she create a profile using my phone? It seems mine has been co-joined with hers when she did create one ages ago, but didn't have time to do the work. Interested in your reply please! :)
If you logout of Duo first, then your friend can create a new account with her email and username.
You will always have to logout after you have used the phone to study so your friend can login to her own account.
Thanks Thomas, you computery, Computer Buff you! Am considering the situation thank you. Sorry for the late response, but I've been asleep! Zzzzzz
What Phone are you using? Android or iPhone or ...? If Android, which version?
I am using an Android phone myself and may be able to tell you the necessary steps to use two accounts on the same phone, if your phone is an Android phone.
(I will be away now for a few hours but will check your comments when I am back)
This is how it works on my phone (depending on your phone and Android version it may look different on your phone):
- Go to Settings > Users & Accounts > Users
- Add a user
- Set up the new user
- To switch to a different user profile, go to Settings > Users & Accounts > Users and tap on the profile.
An alternative to using multiple user profiles would be to use an app like Shelter (Get it on Google Play or F-Droid). Shelter leverages the “Work Profile” feature of Android to provide an isolated space that you can install or clone apps into.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
