नाय साल मुबारक हो। Hi, I'm brushing up on my Hindi writing skills and I was wondering if नाई,नाया or नायी can also be used instead of नव.

uh... shiba-shinu?

No hard feelings but "नाई" actually means "Barber" in Hindi and not "new". And "नाया" or "नायी" don't mean anything.

But if you're looking for synonyms for "नव"; "नवीन", "नया", "नई/नयी" and "नूतन" are correct. (although नई/नयी would be grammatically wrong in this case)
