Leaking data to facebook despite no facebook account?

Hello,

Privacy International did a privacy review of Duolingo and found that the app is sending information about the user to facebook without user knowledge or user prompts.

Could we get a comment on why this is the case?

Cheers

Hi Mike,

I read about it, too. And yes it would be interesting to know why they are doing this.

best regards, Angel

Well, I guess everything has been said there. People aren't happy, but this is a company to make money afterall and we agreed to the privacy policy.

Either the people complaining quit in protest or block all the ads and facebook stuff.

I find it no coincidence that I'm learning Norwegian and a couple of months ago I started receiving spam phone calls and messages from a Norwegian phone number, then, I start learning Italian and all of a sudden I'm getting text messages from an Italian number
