Actually, for Finnish, the Slow Finnish course by Zzzzz... is much better than the one you're listing. It's here: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/10579104/All-the-Slow-Finnish-lessons-in-one-place

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/DanielVanD18

Finnish is on now

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Thank you! I switched them.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/antonmo

why not have both if both are workable?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Well, the current one teaches more than the previous one. :) I could add both, but the post will get very long, and a short post with much use, I think, is better.

Thanks for the suggestion though, it is workable.
Enjoy your day!

Duolingo Bulgarian on Memrise

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Lrtward

Brilliant! Thank you for putting this together. It's going into my "Followed" list.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

My pleasure, I'm glad you like it, Lrtward! ^^

There was also a Persian course:
https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/28698456
Unfortunately, it seems that it has been abandoned.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Aww, shoot. Thanks for the link, though! :D

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/MarcinM85

Recently two new lessons have appeared in the Persian course:
https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/30270504
https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/30282547
It seems that the course has restarted. I think now you can add the link to the directory to your list.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Thank you! Added. :D

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/CaseyAffleck

Desert-Rose you should be a moderator!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

:) I'm too young to be one yet: under 18. But thanks for the complement, though, Reese!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/AaronTBD

I thought it was 13+ not 18+. When you apply it says "you have to be at least 13 years old to apply."

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hi Aaron. Yes, that's true, but according to Usagiboy7, it has changed recently. That form probably just hasn't been updated yet. :)

[deactivated user]

Thanks so much. I didn't know there are so many unofficiall couses here.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ArpsTnd

Hmm, interesting, you inspired me to start an unofficial Filipino course. After several years I've finally mastered the accenting rules. But, nah, I often get downvotes.

    (Btw, anyone who has FSL?)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hi ArpsTnd, do you mean you did make a course, or that you are planning to make an unofficial course?

By the way, what is FSL? I searched it up, but all I get was some kind of Software Library. Is it a Sign Language? :)

    Enjoy your day!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ArpsTnd

Ah yes, I'm planning to start another unofficial Filipino course, because the one you provided was years ago, and those times I don't even know Duolingo yet. So, a newer one.

FSL is the shortened term for our national sign language -- Filipino Sign Language, but for me it seems ambiguous because there are a lot of languages that begin with an "F". It could mean French SL, Finnish SL, atl, but what I mean is Filipino.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

That's great! I'm looking forward to your Unofficial course. :) The link will be added to this post. :D

Ah, Filipino Sign Language, that makes sense!
Man, their are many FSLs! Very interesting! :D

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/chcurtis2

Oh please do! I really want to learn Filipino (I have new in-laws) and was bummed to find it was not offered on Duolingo (at least not as an official course!) I will try the one listed above!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Xia267

Wow, so many Unofficial courses..... Hopefully all of those languages will become official duolingo courses!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Xia, that would definitely be awesome! :D But it's up to them though.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ILopez20

Here is the directory to my informal course, Nubehexian (Conlang): https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/30283216

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hey, thanks! I'll add it as well.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/J_J_max

Dessert-Rose, may I make a suggestion? Maybe sorting it alphabetically, or those that have the most lessons and/or directories and descending downward? Maybe alphabetical by language names or usernames?

    :)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Good idea! I'll do that soon. Don't currently have time. :D

EDIT: Done! They are organized alphabetically, and as there are now already 2 conlangs, there's also a separate section for the conlangs. :) Hope you like it!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hi JJ and everyone else, the languages are now sorted alphabetically. :)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/AaronTBD

What about the Lushootseed (aka. Puget Salish) one? https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/28833879

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

    Added!! Thanks. :D

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Thomas_Wesley

followed, thank you. Have a lingot!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/J_J_max

Thank you! Us users have to make do while we wait for the actual courses to be released.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/J_J_max

Also, I've just posted the third lesson. ;)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

(Yay! A third one!) JJ, are you planning to make a directory? That will make it easier to link to your course. :)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/J_J_max

Yes, I am waiting. I just wanted to wait a little bit before creating it, seeing how I only posted the third lesson 45 minutes ago. I don't want to look "spam-ish". I'll be making one shortly.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/J_J_max

And I'm done! The directory is here!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Great! It's added to the list. :D The directory is so tidy, I just love it.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ISpeakAlien

Thank you so much! I hope that all of the people who made these unofficial courses have applied to contribute to courses in the Incubator for these languages!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/J_J_max

Ah, I will when I figure out how. And when I'm more confident.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

    My pleasure, Bonvole.

    What's "That's their choice" in Martian? ;P

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ArpsTnd

I won't declare my Unofficial Filipino Course yet, my time is not stable to provide posts. My exams are near, so maybe a lot of things would be on February.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

You'll be added to the list once you feel stable. I would have added you ASAP, though. Tell me when you're ready. ;)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/AaronTBD

Here's and Icelandic and Armenian alphabet course (I could only find these)
    Icelandic:https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/26371310
    Armenian:https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/16805590

    That's all really

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Baby_Punks

    Danke dir! (Thank you)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/SecretlyAHippo

I don't know if this will be continued, but apparently, another person is trying to help with Persian, Dessert-Rose. I'm not saying you should add it as well (just to keep the post small), but just saying it might be worth putting up there if it continues. Here's the link.

    Thanks!

    Gwaugle

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Thank you Gwaugle! Once s/he creates a Directory I'll add her as well. I choose which courses are added to my post according to these "prerequisites":

    • Most posts
    • Tidiest post(s)/directory post

I'm not saying her's isn't tidy. I just told you the rules I use!
;) Thanks for linking it though!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/SecretlyAHippo

Happy to help! As I said, I know this post is already growing so much and you wanted it tidy. Just mentioning it in case it goes on. I told them that there was already a Persian course, but they could continue. Just a warning. Happy to find you've already found my post, and happy to help!

    Thanks!

    Gwaugle

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/DanielVanD18

If there is a course for Nyoongar, an Australian language, or someone who could make an unofficial course, that would be great. Thanks for the list.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/vsevuskav

Hi! I just noticed that you were going to add this Filipino course to the list, but it doesn't seem to be here.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hi, thank you! Adding it now!

(You may have noticed another account commenting this same. That was me accidentally logging in as my other account, haha! Whoops! It's scheduled for deletion.)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/vsevuskav

You're very welcome! Thanks for hosting all those courses!

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

It's my pleasure! If you ever find more unofficial courses like these, please let me know.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/davidvdb

    Here you'll find some more/older ones. :)

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Thanks so much, David! I'm adding a whole lot more courses from that link.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Ilai80395

Wow, that's great! I'll be glad to help if you're planning to create a mandarin course using traditional characters (Duolingo currently only uses the simplified ones).

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hello! I'm not planning on making a Mandarin course, sorry, I don't know the language. Do you?

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/PERCE_NEIGE

Please, also include the courses that are already on Duolingo.

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Dessert-Rose

Hi Perce, I would rather not, because this list is only for unofficial courses. Courses created by Duolingo users in spaces and places other than Duolingo's official course list. :D

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/abduljalil637905
