No progress on skills when practicing?

I just wanted to voice my frustration at how you aren't able to level up skills by through practicing them. I think that it would be much better if the practice button identified your weakest or least practiced skills and let you level them up. Otherwise, it feels like there isn't much point to practicing, rather than clicking on skills directly, but by clicking on skills directly, it is hard to know which skills to practice.

If I remember correctly, practicing used to allow you to level up your skills -- why was this feature taken away?

In the past, practice used to revive skills that were in decay. Today it does basically the same thing (you can see word strength in the words tab).

You have to level up your crowns separately. Sometimes there's actually new material in later levels, sometimes its just further repetition. Personally I find it boring and just test out of later crown levels, but I do use the Practice button everyday.

One good feature of the Practice button outside of learning is that with Timed Practices you can earn up to 20 XP per session and its quick. If reaching Level 25 is a goal for you, it will help you reach 30,000 XP that much quicker.
