I've grown accustomed to a male, automated(?) voice and this morning it is mixed in with a female, human(?) voice. I'm super excited! I think that, particularly for someone learning a tonal language for the first time, it's really useful to hear the same words and sentences uttered by multiple voices. 谢谢, Duo!

I hope they don't do away with a male voice altogether, because the vast majority of other learning materials use a female voice too. It's good to have both.

Hmm. For some reason I no longer hear the female voice after doing one practice.

The new female voice has yet to come out on the Android version, probably it will come out in the next app update.

The new voice does seem to offer varied accent. Since Chinese is spoken with a variety of accents, I hope they maintain some variety in the course audio.
