Why not "Ahehee nali asdzaan?"

Always use possessives when addressing a family member in Navajo.

The versions they give without possessives are rare.

Why does answer say "pay attention to the accents" when I use THEIR choices?

Because you have to keep an eye out for the gottle stops and so forth in the typing of the word

I'm curious why paternal and maternal grandmother are so different. Can anyone tell me the literal translation of the words "shí nalí asdzaan" and "shimasani"

Why not shimasani

That's maternal grandmother. It's what you call your mom's mom, not your dad's mom.
