Is the Arabic for English Team still working on a course?

Anyone know if the course is still being worked on? I don't want to rush them by any means, better quality and slow progress than a rushed course. But there hasn't been any news or sign of life in maybe several months. Please let us know if you happen to know if they are ok! :)

It's been a slow process, its started, stopped, gone back in progress (indicating the course being expanded) many times since I got on here a year ago. I've been eagerly looking forward to it and at first it had no release, then August 2018, then October, then December, then March of this year. I honestly expect it ready around July or August 2019 based on this trend. I'm confident they are still working, it just may have had too optimistic of an estimated release.

I'd like it to come out tomorrow but I don't want it to come out half-baked either.
Swahili was released too early and had no audio and was riddled with errors until just a few weeks ago. (Thankfully it has a great deal of audio (but not all) and is fixing many of the errors in the tree).
I would rather wait for a few more months and have the tree ready to go than get it released too early and be unusable.

I really hope they get it out this year, I would love to learn Arabic on Duolingo. I've been lucky enough to sign up for a college course in beginner Arabic, but not everyone is that lucky. We have Memrise, Clozemaster and thriftshop books for the meantime, though.

Yea they are these things can take a very long time dont be surprised if it will take until 2020 or later just look how long Hindi or Japanese took to come out.

To be honest I am not surprised that the deadline for releasing the course is being pushed every time. I offered them to contribute but no one came back to me. But I do agree slow progress with high quality output is way better than rushed out work.
