I just found out that the translations for eyelashes are ögonhår ögonfransar. Is there a difference? Or is one more commonly used than the other?
(I apologize for the trivial question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere else!)

"Ögonfransar" is the more correct way of saying eyelashes and the more commonly used. "ögonhår" translated would be "eyehair"

Ögonhår would be a single strand of hair from the eyelashes. I believe "ögonfrans" directly corresponds to eyelash, as in it can both be used to refer to a single hair and to the entire row of hairs (when in plural).

I'm a Swede and I have never heard "ögonhår" has been used at all. "Ögonfrans" is the correct one. Where did you even see "ögonhår"?

I've heard it. And Svensk Ordbok (SO) and Svenska Akademins Ordlista (SAOL) both lists it, as the links I've previously posted shows.
