When I was a kid, we often used "sebentar" to say "soon" or "in a moment". For example, my mom would call "Makan!" (Come to eat!) and we would call back "sebentar" (one moment... We just need to finish this game).

Maybe "segera" would also work in that context?

Personally, I don't think so… "segera" feels more appropriate for something like commands.
