Hey, So recently I saw several suggestions to teach the Polish words connected with grammar. Personally I think that's a bit too much to put in the T&N, that Polish is complicated enough and it's easier to use the English words, but sure, if some of you would like this additional challenge of learning new vocabulary, then why not ;) Let’s see what we have here:

What about subjunctive, attribute, adjunct, pluperfect?

I don't have extensive knowledge of grammar. Added "subjunctive", although I literally never heard about "tryb łączący", "adjunct" seems to be the same as "grammatical modifier" from the point of view of Polish (both Wikipedia articles in English redirect to the same Polish article), I have problems understanding how is "attribute" different from them, and about pluperfect... that's at least one that I knew myself ;) But pluperfect is virtually dead in contemporary Polish (apart from "powinienem był" = "I should have" and similar, but even here you can just use "powinienem" and it's correct).

Polish grammarians do not see languages the same way as English grammarians. For example the subjunctive mood is disregarded by Poles, and yet it is quite common: Powiedziałem mu, by napisał książkę.

Interesting! We have some similar terms in Russian but not that many ))) Probably it's a good idea to write the same article for Russian
