In a web browser:

  1. Click on your name at the top right of the page.

  2. Click Settings on the drop-down menu.

  3. On the page that appears, click "Learning language" in the right-hand list.

  4. In the main "Language" box that appears, click on "Reset or remove languages" at the bottom of the box. (This is easy to miss because it's in grey and much less obvious than everything else that's in the box.)

  5. Next to the language you want to remove, click "Remove".

If you don't see the language you want to remove, it may be From a different source language than your current language. Go back to Home, use the flag icon to select the language you want to remove (this will switch you to the necessary From language context), then go through the steps above.

If you are only learning a single language From a given language, you can't remove that language. For example, if I were learning Russian From English, French From English, and English From Spanish, I wouldn't be able to remove English From Spanish.

EDITED: and now I see a million other people have posted while I was typing :-)
