All my progress is lost.

Hi everyone, recently I have changed my phone and despite using the same account e-mail, my progress in Spanish is all lost and I'm back at the beginning. Has this happened to anyone else? What do you think I should do?

I have no explanation to you :-(
The Spanish language level 6 is suddenly resetted.

I am not aware that staff is able to restore your progress from a 24-48h old BACKUP and to manually recover it.

What was your previous language level on your old phone?
How many skills had you completed (crown L1 or higher)?
Could it be that you had not created an online account on that phone so all progress was locally stored?

You can submit a bug report here: https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

As you will high likely not get your progress back, the best thing what you can do is to use the intro placement test on the www.duolingo.com web portal (not mobile tapping app!!!) and test your current Spanish knowledge with typing and listening exercises so you do not have to restart completely from scratch.

I was able to do this on Android in 2017 up to Spanish language level 9 with tapping even I had not learned this language.
Because of all the hints which "fake" your progress and because you are allowed to use tapping word banks, my suggestion above is to use web portal for this test and all checkpoint or skill-test outs.

My suggestion: Do not unlock too many skills with the tests when you are too weak in former skills at the topic / in the beginning.

You will see more vocabulary and sentences when you go skill-by-skill, lesson-by-lesson and omit any test-outs.

Did you create a new account? Your old email may not have been verified, thus making it be "unclaimed". You probably created a new account with this email, despite the other having this email.

Basically, you may not have verified the email on the old account, and when you went to log in, it created a new account.

Help I have a similar problem... I had completed intro level 4 and was prompted to create a profile, when I did this I realised I already had an ac account so logged in but none of my progress carried across. Is there any way to link what I completed without an account?
