Great idea for those with Netflix. Danke schön.

I have a french Netflix account and gives me access to change audio and subtitles to German as well. The only series that ran across are only 2/3 original German is DARK, PARFUM, DOGS. Is there a list of the latest series available in Netflix?

Perhaps you can access some of these:

Best German TV Shows on Netflix

  1. The Same Sky

  2. Babylon Berlin

  3. Charité

  4. Tempel

  5. Old Money

Useful extension recommended by Davidzweig2.

This site recommended by Kari.t seems interesting too.

I stopped using a friend's account and finally got my own just so i could switch between languages without bothering anyone. Apparently switching language settings to German, Spanish and French seemingly at random tends to both people who aren't into learning new languages. Who knew?

It depends who is the main owner on account but I have never had that issue and my primary setting is French and in second account English and they never have conflicted in last 4yrs. On another note you can do your own thing now that you have own account

Sophie Scholl - Die letzten Tage and Good Bye, Lenin! are two of my favorite movies of all time!

Lola rennt was a fun one too.

Danke schön.

Danke für den Austausch.

I'm such a beginner that I read two articles on please and thank you.

Nice. A small question pass through my mind : Does anybody knows some movies where people speak slowly ? The opposite of the Woody Allen films for English, to take striking comparison. I guess I'll have to focus on cartoons and on children programs

I always reduce the speed of foreign movies with this Google Chrome Extension.

Recently, I've been watching French films on YouTube. I found them by searching YouTube for "film romantique complet en francais". Romantic films and dramas are richer in dialogue than action films. You could search YouTube in the same way for German films, and then use the Chrome extension to slow down the speech.

Thanks a lot for this extremely useful information!!! I've seen that there's also the same extension for Firefox.

By the way : How can you edit you post and insert a link behind a string of characters ? I don't see that possibility when typing here. I guess that you use a special string of characters before and after the link address, which ones please? HTML special syntax ?

Oh! I searched and found. It's explained by another user here

Actually the syntax is very simple, it requires just brackets and parenthesis, nothing too complicated

Glad you found it so quickly, I just read your post. This is the discussion I used to learn to format.

Vielen dank! my mom wants us to watch more german

Bitte. Glad you'll enjoy it.

Das Boot should be out there somewhere.

There is two programs put out for German learners. The "Extr@" comedy series

and The movie Susanne (A2 level, Im level 19 at Duolingo and can understand this movie well without any English)

Not a movie or comedy series but as a real beginner I started watching Deutsch Direkt which has a little bit of documentary feel to it in places

Those are very nice recommendations especially for those starting out.

Danke schön

An A1 beginner series I forgot to add to my list was "Nicos Weg" (it has a lot of episodes)
