I have completed the Italian Course!
Just wanted to share my gratitude for the team at Duolingo for all the help they've provided me with, but after 4 years the course has been completed!!!
i went from barely knowing how to say 'Hello' in Italian to where i am now able to read and write fluently ..for free!. Duolingo really are fantastic!
Does anyone know if i can get a final fluency percentage? i used to see it come up but not anymore? Also @ the tech guys at Duolingo is there anyway you can tell me how many hours i studied for? i would be very interested!
Grazie mille ragazzi per tutto!!!
How fluent do you consider yourself to be now? For example, if you went to Italy, how could you handle yourself?
In fact i went in 2017 in the summer to Rome & even then i was able to easily converse and understand Italian.
Congratulazioni! I am new to DL but I've used other apps. I use many resources but to name my favorite I use:
-Memrise -Drops (Vocab app utilizing Mnemonic devices) - HelloTalk (App that pairs you with Native speakers/language exchange partners to speak with via voice chat) - DuoLingo (I'm new to DL but I think it helps me memorize things better because you can choose to use the keyboard key and type everything out. This repetition drills things into your memory. -Google Translate (Not as a cruch but more for verification) - Last but not least Realkana (For Japanese Hiragana/Katakana) and Of course the Genki Books for studying Kanji.
I've only been on the DL italian course for about a week now but I'm addicted to say the least. Planning a trip to Palermo by the end of the year. My dads family immigrated from Termini Imerese, Scicily in 1893 to Cincinnati, Ohio so I'd like to learn about my family's roots. So happy to hear about your experience with DL and look forward to my own, If this is someones first choice for learning a language I just wanted to elaborate on other resources I personally use daily that pair well with DL. <333
Ciao Stodab44. Another place is now free for you. Join now please:-)
Hi, welcome! Benvenuto nel club del livello 25. Please use existing threads to write greetings and comment in the Club page, because space is limited there;)
Have you thought of joining an English/Italian club to keep using your Italian? We have a very good one!
Ciao Stodab. You will need the mobile app to join us and the code. Let me know here if this is OK and I will make sure a space is free. Our club is busy and fun, it is good if you can do about 40 xp a week and enjoy communicating. Tanti auguri...
how fluent are you i want to go to italy one day and i want to be able to speak italian
See it through, you'll be comfortable having the basic conversations in Italy and you'll feel great!
Congratulations ! I have started to study Italian last week, and I hope I will get fluency like you.
Thank you for sharing your experience

To be honest, i couldn't even write hello in Italian before the course so the improvement has been dramatic.
I feel very comfortable around the basics for sure!

Congratulations! btw, is level 25 the last level you can achieve on Duolingo?
