The first word in the sentence is 'today', so how is it possible to grade it as being wrong when I translate it 'Today the school is closed.' ????
The more appropriate translation of The school is closed today is : Aaj bidyalay bandh hai.
Should be 'vidyalay' - विद्यालय
Could you just say "School is closed today" as well? I could see both being used in a slightly different way depending on the context.
I was in a hurry and mistakenly type: "the school is not open today" it was marked wrong. I understand, My bad.
I want to repeat this question
I did "school's closed today " and got marked down. Why?
Duo tends to use 's only for possessive.
And use do not in preference to don't, though it is accepted.
