What happened to "Tips"?
Within the past day or two, I just noticed that "Tips" light bulb icon and related material is no longer available. Yikes! I'm using both the web-browser version of Duolingo (Firefox on Win10) and the Duolingo App for iOS. Thanks.
Do you have Parts1-5 in your tree or not?
If yes, this might explain that this new A/B test lacks the lightbulb tips buttons then (this is not logical, but I have no other explanation).
Or you could check our own "extended user profile" if there is any A/B experiment going on to deactive your tips buttons.
There is not that a huge difference between the Spanish trees if you either have the Parts things or not; the skills are the same.
Why don't you send a bug report and ask for help:
I have parts 1-5 in my En->Sp tree but I have lots of Tips & Notes. I have had parts 1-5 in the web browser for a while; just got them recently in the iOS app.
No, this won't work for Spanish as only 9 html formatted "tips and notes" are available in the skill "explanation" variables in our "extended user profiles" which Duome can read (the previous SP tree had ~13 skills with notes).
See my explanation here for Spanish and French:
AFAIK at least 22+ (probably much more nowadays) tips have already been ported by staff from the new mobile grammar notes to the web portal.
For new staff trees EN->SP and EN->FR (trees 8+12) developers took a quite different route which is not compatible with Duome right now!
Hi Craiger 151, I have the same 113 skill Spanish From English tree that you have, but I still have Tips & Notes. This is both in the browser (in both Firefox and Chrome and Windows 7) and also in the app (on iPhone).
Several of the skills near the end of the tree have never had Tips & Notes. Have you tried checking for Tips & Notes on earlier skills?
I notice in the duome.eu record of this tree, there are Tips & Notes for very few skills. That seems strange. Can you check the first two skills and see if they have Tips & Notes? And then check the third skill?
An update: First, THANKS to everyone for their comments, suggestions, etc. Second, yesterday or there about I noticed the lacks of tips when I was in Part 5, starting a skill on a tense (Fut. Per.) that I was unfamiliar with. I check with SpanishDict and got the info I was looking for but then poked around and realized that the useful tips were not longer available. HOWEVER, upon further examination, I discovered that I have tips available (at least on the web browser version) in Parts 1, 2, and 3. After a quick check of Parts 4 and 5 (I did not check each skill), I could not find any tips. Hmmm.
Ah! The mystery is perhaps solved! There aren’t any tips at all in parts 4 and 5. I wish Duolingo would write some; part 5 especially has some hairy topics that could use some tips!
