I have had several exercises today where I cant get the right answer as words I need are missing. I have a screen shot of a recent example where I needed two 'her' and there was only one available to me so it was impossible to complete the exercise
What were the Spanish sentences? Did you perhaps have a different spare pronoun ("su" can mean your, her, his, their)?
it has happened three times today. The one I captured was ella penso en su madre y la invito a cenar
and the words i had in english were she thought about mother and invited her to dinner box bicycle sleep boots
i needed two 'her' but only had one. I submitted 'she thought about mother and invited her to dinner' which was correct in meaning but it was rejected as it should be 'her mother', which I knew but was unable to complete successfully.
thanks - neither of these are that relevant. One is to help improve the course which i use frequently; the second is more of a general discussion.
I have a technical incident that is the software is not working as designed
I'm going into hospital for an operation and have purchased a streak freeze which i understand will automatically activate when a day is missed. Would it be possible to buy another streak freeze day on the day after the operation if I am still too ill to complete skills or will it not work two days in a row?
I don't know how to make my own post in a forum asking for help that isn't a comment on someone else's post??? Also I lost all my progress what happened? I'm on the same account as always
I want Duolingo to add sigh language to their app because I think it will be helpful for many people that want to learn the language.

Why was the streak graph removed from the home page? Since I do this every day, if my schedule is disrupted, it's easy to forget whether I have worked through a session or not. When we had the graph, many times I would walk by my computer and see that I hadn't studied, even though I thought I had, BRING IT BACK!!!!
I really like Duolingo, but the arbitrary changes and lack of responsiveness are infuriating. Any changes should be provided in Beta so users can comment. Right now, it appears that the developers are "guessing" about what we users might find helpful and then keeping themselves completely unreachable. It's annoying.
That information is still available. Hover the mouse over the flame (next to where your streak number is displayed) to see the graph.
Also, even without hovering, the flame gives you information about whether you’re maintaining your streak. It’s grey before you reach your daily goal, and colored after you reach your daily goal.
For an upcoming procedure I will be in the hospital for one day, perhaps two. How to maintain my daily streak during a possible 48 hour absence?
When I went into hospital for a procedure for 48 hours earlier this year, for 10 lingots, I set up a streak freeze day in the power-ups section. It apparently kicks in on a day of no activity.
Surprisingly, I was able to complete my basic daily quota whilst in hospital it did not kick in and I still have it so I'm not sure of how to follow up for a second day.
However, I assume that on the day it kicks in, the button next to the streak freeze icon will show purchase for 10 lingots again, rather than equipped. So at least pop into Duolingo to check that on each day.
All the best with your treatment, healing and continued learning!
