Anyone know if any work is being done on for the Hungarian course?

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Just wondering if anyone might know if the Hungarian course is being updated? I hope it is as it can definitely use some improvement. Thanks. Hope we get to see some news soon about it.

I keep recieving e-mails all the time, that my suggested translations are accepted, which is fortunate, because I am a Hungarian native. So at least that much is being done.

I am still getting emails saying they have accepted my alternative translations. I would b surprised however, if the shape of the course changes.

One thing I wish they would add are stories. No need to invent new plots - happy to recycle. I suspect they may take quite a few hours each but they are very valuable to hear a conversation.

If you're interested in audio, I can recommend Hungarian Pimsleur on Audible, and HungarianPod101 on Youtube. I also find listening to Disney songs in Hungarian quite useful as well because it becomes easier to understand Hungarian, by hearing it. Hope that helps :-)

Thanks but I have a copy of Hungarian Pimsleur which I have done many times (the Hungarian course is pretty basic). Would like something different>

I do work with films and cartoons, butt he structure of the DL story is appealing.

Currently there are stories for 4 languages (Spanish, Portuguese, German, French) and they are all so-called in-house languages, Duolingo staff works on them, and staff makes the stories. For contributor-made languages, like Hungarian, I have seen no sign for stories. Duo gave us no tools to translate the existing stories.
