Ketika not correct? I had ketika mereka siap. When in this case kapan
Dear Mijntje, "ketika" can be translated as "when", but it's another when.
ketika = when, at the time (conjunction word)
kapan = when (question word)
Kapan kamu berangkat = When do you leave ?
Saya berangkat ketika dia siap = I leave when he is ready.
Thank you!!! It totally makes sense :-)
The english doesn't compute unless it's future tense: when will they be ready? I can't think of an example of When are they ready? being said. Anyone else?
Kapan mereka selesai?
