I need some tips :,)

Right now Im trying to learn greek, but I found myself in a little situation. I can only understand it when its being said to me, I can't even for the life of me understand it when its just written/typed down. Any advice?

Don't worry. I have the same problem with Spanish. try saying it out loud while reading the words,& just keep trying. You can do this!!!!

You should move this to the Greek forum instead of the General English forum. You will get better results that way.

If you frequently encounter too hard exercises even after trying lessons from different skills and using the practice button, then I recommend you to reset your progress. You can try first 10 lessons and if they are all too hard, then do the reset. It is also helpful to take breaks and do new lessons in coming days. You can try one lesson in one day and continue next day. Just quit your lesson if it’s too hard, otherwise you are torturing yourself which is unnecessary.

I started by printing out the Greek alphabet from the internet with a pronunciation guide then finding what keys on the computer corresponded to them. You can get the Greek keyboard from Language Preferences in settings and switch between English and Greek using the Windows + Spacebar ( I'm using windows 10). You can get accents by pressing the semicolon key then the letter eg ή ώ ύ by pressing ;h ;v ;y. It takes time and practice.

I have the contrary problem, i understand english when i read, but no when i listen the people speaking around me. I feel bad, because i feel out of the situation I am trying to get not depressed...lol My advice is; read, read, and read... and keep your faith about it!!
