Is there a way to skip "levels"?

I don't understand or really care about all the gems and crowns, I just want to improve my Spanish language skills. I'm only on day 2, level 3 and can't possibly say "he is a boy" one more time. Is there a way to skip levels?

As soon as you get all the skills in a row up to crown level 1 (blue), the skills in the next row will open (purple). You can go ahead and start on those skills. You don’t have to get any skill above crown level 1.

Eventually as you move down the tree you may find that you want to review/refresh your memory/improve earlier skills, at which point you can return to them and do as many or as few lessons you like. Then start proceeding down the tree again.

You may find some skills that you want to keep doing lessons beyond the initial crown level 1 before moving on. You’ll be able to tell what feels comfortable.

You also can test out of levels if you want to get a skill up to a higher crown level but don’t want to do all the exercises. Click on a skill, then click on the key icon. If you do this in a web browser, there is no restriction.

Yes. Completing one crown unlocks the next skill. You could complete the tree at one crown, although it's unlikely you'll remember much.
