Value/Sense of Duolingo if your level is C1 or above
Hello there people! I have been studying English since 13 years and my level is about C1. I am on Duolingo since 3 weeks and already completed the language tree (I only did a little bit every day and skipped all chapters by the testing out feature).
Now I am asking myself what Duolingo still can teach me. I never made many mistakes during the exercises and it felt like Duolingo was just a brush-up of my skills. I know I could complete the tree again and translate some texts here, but it gets boring. I am only level 11 and there are 25!!!
What do you think about my situation? Should I continue learning on Duolingo to improve my English? Does anyone have the same "problem"?
Yes I am only Level 10 and finished the english tree.
I recommend learning a new language. Do it from english then you learn both if you want to improve your english.
Otherwise I would recommend to improve your english somewhere else, as you should already be fluent in the language.
Thanks for the tip I already learn English - Italian :) and watch all TV series in English. Guess I should search a native to skype with to improve my English.
My first language is English, and German is my third language which I literally just started learning. If you want to practice, I'd be more than willing to help! Skype definitely helps, it really improves listening and speaking skills!
I would love to! But unfortunately I won't have time until October! Hopefully I don't forget to contact you, but I always wanted to start that Skype thing
pour pouvoir geler ma série quand mon portable ne marche pas, ce qui arrive souvent ces derniers temps :) merci
I would get as much English music as possible, that's a good way to pick up listening comprehension!
Have you made much use of the 'immersion' feature? Translation would probably be a useful exercise at your level, since it's kind of a separate skill in itself.
