My 100 day streak!
I know it's not a big deal for many, but it is a big deal for me. I'm impressed of how much I have learned in 100 days, not to mention how confident I now feel about succeeding in my journey to learn a language. Duolingo, so far, has been the best learning tool I've come across.
Lrtward. For help yes, move to French, but this is a general post to let us ALL know how well he is doing. No need for him to edit, surely.
I originally posted in the French forum. I did my edit, and now I'm in the correct forum. Thank you for your response.
It's certainly not a strict requirement, but it was beginning to attract some down votes and these type posts usually do better in the general forum.
No offense taken, I haven't explored duolingo outside my lessons, so your feedback has been helpful. Thank you again.
Good to hear your story, thank you for sharing with all language-learners (not just the French forum!) so continue to enjoy your learning.
Not a big deal?! It's a really big deal! That's 100 days straight that you have accomplished your daily goal for Duolingo. Have a lingot to help you go even further!
Thank you. I don't understand giving away lingots. Is it like a reward from community members? What are the benefits?
It's not like I can give you anything else. It's more of the thought that counts. If you don't want me to give you anymore lingots in the future that's fine with me, but there's no harm in giving them out.
No, no, thank you for your thoughtfulness. I ask because I continue to learn about duolingo and how everything works. Giving lingots is a nice gesture.
It is. People give others lingots if they said something nice or if others don't have many. One benefit is that you can get more lingots to use for buying things in the store.
This is a big deal, and you should celebrate it! not everyone gets there, and I'm sure you worked hard for it. Congratulations! Keep going and continue enjoying languages:)
Congrats!!!! To do Duo everyday is difficult, and you have done it for 100 days.
Well Done Kazman. My best was 80 days. I was going for 100 but New Years Eve messed that up...or I messed that up on New Years Eve! Oh Well, I start again.. and I still have what I learned!
Sorry I not speak English, I not can help you, so in French, I can! pity i not know speak English well...
Sorry, very much...
Thank you Alex, On paper it looks like we are at the same level of learning. I've attempted this before with other language programs. I have found it frustrating getting through the gender and plural parts of my learning, and recently it is all coming together and clicking in my head. Both my parents, BTW, were from Quebec and as a small child I spoke French first. When I started school my parents decide to drop the french and go english only thinking it would make school life easier. Are you not in, or close to a french speaking community?
Great job! I used to have a 47 day streak, and was really excited for 50 days, but I was really burnt out. I'm glad you were able to continue, and I hope I can, now, too! Best of luck! :)
