Does anyone know the difference between pergi and berangkat in this sentence? Both are correct.

Pergi = go.

Berangkat = leave for.

You can use 'berangkat' at the start of your journey. Let's say, on the road, someone asked you where you're going to, switch to 'pergi'.

A: I am berangkat to school now

On the road:

B: Are you home?

A: No. I pergi to school now
