Fun fact: रविवार comes from रवि which is Hindi for Sun, by using Greek astrology, similarly like the names of the day of the week in many languages, like English Sunday.

Years ago I learnt the Hindi days of the week. Isn't Suryavar also Sunday? Also, Thursday (Guruvar), IIRC, was Brihispativar. These seem to have the same meaning, anyway - isn't Surya the Sun, and isn't the god Brihispati the god of the planet Jupiter, astrologically signifying gurus?

Yes. Brihaspati in the Vedic tradition is the Guru (preceptor) of the gods: ♃ = Jupiter

that would be nice
