Request for a new feature in Duolingo - store upvoted comments

Hello, After using DL for about a year, I have come to the obvious conclusion that the discussion board for each exercise offers a wealth of information. It compliments the lessons DL offers and augments the learning process. Additionally, it offers beginners to "test out" their knowledge by offering their advice.

In this spirit, I propose the following - implement a feature in DL that stores specific comments a user has upvoted. The benefits of this are as follows:

1) Can offer more depth to the learning process 2) Can serve as a review/revision material a user can access before attempting the same exercise. 3) A matter of user convenience so that he/she need not copy paste SiteSurf's or northernguy's comments in a separate application outside DL. Instead, quickly access his/her favorite users' comments.

At present under the "Discussion" section there are three tabs. I suggest a fourth tab, lets call it "Up voted comments". Herein, the user can scroll through all the comments he/she had voted for. To make it more streamlined, the comments can be grouped under the appropriate lessons.

I know that DL staff are quite busy, so this is simply a suggestion. A huge thanks to the creators and DL staff for maintaining such an awesome site!!

"A matter of user convenience so that he/she need not copy paste SiteSurf's or northernguy's comments in a separate application outside DL. Exactly what I had in mind these last few days. Great idea!

ha, who hasn't! I think if one were to compile all of SiteSurf's/nothernguy's/the moderators comments, one would be able to make a pretty decent course pack for beginners.

Been always thinking about it. Great idea.

ps: I suggest you change the topic of this discussion from "French" to "Duolingo in English" so that other users find out about your suggestion as well.
